Privacy Policy
Written to describe what this site actually does, in plain words rather than legal ones. There is no account here, nothing sold, and nothing tracked until we tell you.
+1 (804) 502-4314Who Is Sending This
This notice covers the website of {business}, a mobile locksmith working from Richmond, Virginia. A question about it, or about a message you sent us, can go to the phone number or the email address printed in the footer of every page. Either one reaches the same people.
What the Quote Form Collects
The form asks for a name and a phone number. It gives you optional space for an email address, the service you think you need, where the job is, and a few lines about what happened. That is the whole list, and none of it is collected until you press send. The form also carries a hidden field that nobody can see; a robot that fills it in tells us the submission is not from a person.
Where It Goes
Sending the form turns it into an email to our own office mailbox. This website does not keep a table of submissions in a database: the details arrive in the mailbox, stay in the mailbox, and are used to call you back, price the job and do the work. We do not sell contact details and we do not hand them to anyone else to market to you.
If you text us a photo of a lock, or read us the number stamped on a cylinder, that becomes part of the same thread with us.
Phone Calls
The numbers on this site are dialed by you, from your phone, to ours, and we answer them ourselves. There is no recording queue and no third party sitting between your call and our phone. If the site owner later turns on call tracking for an advert, this page says so here first.
Cookies and Scripts From Other Companies
This site sets no cookies of its own and loads nothing from another company to make a page work. The fonts are served from here rather than from a third-party server, so reading a page does not hand your address to anybody else.
Two settings allow the site owner to add Google's measurement tools - Analytics, Ads conversion tracking, Tag Manager. They stay off unless an account ID has been typed into them on purpose, and when they are on, they load scripts from Google, which set cookies and process data under Google's own terms. If that changes for this site, the paragraph above is rewritten and a consent notice appears.
How Long We Keep It
A quote request lives in our mailbox for as long as it takes to answer you and to recall what we did on the job. Anything we must keep for tax or bookkeeping stays for the period Virginia asks for. Ask us and we will tell you what we hold, correct it, or delete it - apart from the records we are required to keep.
Keeping It Safe
The site is served over HTTPS, so a message in the form travels encrypted rather than in the open. The form checks that the sender is not an automated script, and a submission from one address is limited to one per minute so a fault cannot bury the mailbox. That check reads a scrambled copy of a network address for sixty seconds and forgets it.
Your Choices
Phone or write and ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to fix it or ask us to delete it. Virginia's consumer data protection law gives residents rights of that kind; we would rather you just rang us than had to think about the law first.
We do not collect information about children. If a child's details reach us by accident, tell us and they are removed.
