Terms of Service
Short on purpose. If a line of this is unclear, raise it on the phone before the work and we will say it again in plain words.
+1 (804) 502-4314Using This Site
The pages and the wording on this site belong to {business}. Read them, link to them, and quote a sentence back to us on the phone if that helps. Re-publishing them to advertise a competing business, or answering customers in our name out of this material, is not permitted.
Prices and Estimates
Nothing on this site is a fixed price list. A lock, a door, a vehicle and the parts a job needs are what a price is made of, and two doors that look the same from the street often are not. So we describe what we have found, give you the price, and wait for your yes before anything is taken apart. If a job turns into something different once it is open, we stop, tell you, and start again from a new price.
You get an invoice for the work. Payment is arranged on the phone or on the invoice; ask for the terms in writing before the visit if that is how you need them, and they will be written.
Access to the Property
We work where we are invited. The person letting us in needs the right to be there: an owner, a tenant, a manager, a business occupier, or somebody acting for one of them with their approval. Expect us to ask for the vehicle registration, the lease, a note from a landlord or a name the property manager will confirm. If we are not satisfied, we will not open the door. We would rather lose the job than be the reason somebody else's is.
Work We Will Not Do
Opening a safe, work on a vehicle we are not convinced the caller has a right to, and anything that looks like a break-in rather than a lockout. We also will not help past a lock that is doing its job on property that is not yours to open.
Keys and Handover
New keys, fobs and cylinders fitted on your property are handed over on the same visit, and how many were made is written on the invoice. Where a job involves a key plan for a building, we note what was issued and to whom, so the next rekey starts from something written down rather than from memory.
Responsibility
We are responsible for how we carry out the work we agreed. We are not responsible for a lock or a vehicle that was already failing in a way the phone call could not describe, for the contents of an unattended vehicle or a building left unsecured, or for a visit that cannot go ahead because the person meeting us cannot show a right to be there. If you want the paperwork that comes with a job - what was fitted, what it cost, who to call if it misbehaves - ask on the day and it gets written out.
If Something Goes Wrong
Tell us. A fault that was ours is ours to sort out, and a message that reaches the office is a shorter road to a fix than a review written the same afternoon. The number and the address are in the footer of every page.
Changes, and Which Version Applies
This page may be updated. The version published when the work was booked is the version that applies to that work.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Questions about them go to the contact details on this site.
